Light in the Water tells the story of West Hollywood Aquatics, the first openly gay masters swim team. From its founding for the 1982 Gay Olympic Games to the AIDS epidemic and marriage equality, the team reflects LGBTQ history in America. Through archival footage and interviews with record-setting swimmers, the film celebrates athletes who are gay and explores how joy and sorrow shaped their journey together
